Isn't it great to know there are so many resources out there for early childhood educators! I haven't heard of some of these but in my spare time, if I get any, I'm going to try to look into all of these. I like the additional ones you posted. I'm going to view the PBS and Classroom Assessment Scoring System because I'm not familiar with them. Thanks for more good resources.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Laurie. I too haven't heard of some of the resources, but the one's I listed, I knew about those. I'm definitely going to check out many of these journals and websites.
DeleteWhat a wealth of information we have available to us as early childhood educators. I am extremely thankful to have access to this list, I am sure it will come in handy at one time or another. I too am interested in the Classroom Assessment Scoring System site, I will definitely be exploring the site for resources. I love your background!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonya. I became CLASS reliable through Head Start and it really makes a difference when it comes to teacher student interaction in the classrooms.
DeleteI found the TeachStone.org website very informative. I got sucked into the Research & Evidence portion of the website, and found some great ideas I can use with the kids I work with. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome, Lindsay.
DeleteI too looked up the TeachStone.org website. Very interesting. Have you used this tool in your professional experiences? I'm curious to know what you thought of the approach.
ReplyDeleteYes I have. We use it to monitor our classrooms. I and many of my colleagues are CLASS reliable. The information and the tool has help to improve the teacher/student interaction in the classroom and it makes everything run smoothly in the classroom. The teaching staff also seem to love it. Our Head Start centers are monitored using this tool also during our review process.
